We are committed to protecting your privacy and we acknowledge that you may have concerns regarding the use of your personal information. With our statement, we intend to explain how we never gather information from visitors or members while visiting our Easy Apple Pie web site.

Use of Information: We do not gather information.

So you have nothing to worry about while visiting or shopping at any of our sites.

If you only read our web site, no more information is collected than is typically collected in any server logs by web sites in general.

If you contribute to Easy Apple Pie Information web site, we are nearly publishing every word you put into your information submitted. If you write something, assume that it will be retained forever. This includes articles, stories and blog pages. Some limited exceptions are described below.

Publishing on Easy Apple Pie


Simply visiting this web site does not expose your identity publicly (but see private logging below).

When you send us any information for edit, you are publishing a document. This is a public act, and you are identified publicly with your story. You will be identified as the author.

Identification of an author


When you publish information, you may not be logged in.

If you are logged in, you will be identified by your user name. This may be your real name if you so choose, or you may choose to publish under unknown author. Whatever user name you selected when you created your account is fine.

If you have not logged in, you will be identified by your network IP address. This is a series of four numbers which identifies the Internet address from which you are contacting Easy Apple Pie. Depending on your connection, this number may be traceable only to a large Internet service provider, or specifically to your school, place of business, or home. It may be possible that the origin of this IP address could be used in conjunction with any interests you express implicitly or explicitly by sending us your park information for editing.

Privacy Passwords


Many aspects of the Easy Apple Pie community interactions depend on the reputation and respect that is built up through a history of valued contributions from you. User passwords are the only guarantee of the integrity of a user's contribution history. All users are encouraged to select strong passwords and to never share them with anyone else. No one shall knowingly expose the password of another user to public release for any reason, directly or indirectly.

Private logging


Every time you visit a web page, you send a lot of information to my web server. Most web servers routinely maintain access logs with a portion of this information, which can be used to get an overall picture of what pages are popular, what other sites link to this one, and what web browsers people are using. It is not the intention of this Easy Apple Pie web site to use this information.
These logs are used to produce the site statistics pages; the raw log data is not made public, and is normally discarded after about two months.

It is the policy of Easy Apple Pie that identifiable data collected in the server logs, or through our records in the database via the log files, may be released to Easy Apple Pie system administrators.

Where the user has been miss behaving in a disruptive way, data may be released to assist in the targeting of IP blocks, or to assist in the formulation of a complaints to relevant Internet Service Providers. Where it is reasonably found to be necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Easy Apple Pie, its users or the any one.

Easy Apple Pie policy does not permit public distribution of such information under any circumstances, except for as described above.

Sharing information with third parties


Except where otherwise specified, all text added to Easy Apple Pie is fully available for us to use and reuse.
Easy Apple Pie will not sell or share private information, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless hell freezes over.

Security of information

Easy Apple Pie makes no guarantee against unauthorized access to the information you provide. This information may be available to anyone with access to Easy Apple Pie web site or there servers. A partial list of those people can not be found in any list.

E-mail, mailing lists and IRC

E-mail,
You may provide your e-mail address in your contact Easy Apple Pie, and enable other logged-in users to send email to you thru Easy Apple Pie. Your address will not be revealed to them unless you give it to them in a response.

If you do not provide an email address, you will not be able to reset your password if you forget it. Duh, However, you may contact one of the nice people at Easy Apple Pie or their server administrators to enter a new mail address.

You can remove your own email address from your contacts with us if you know how.

Mailing lists

If you subscribe to Easy Apple Pie mailing list, your address will never be exposed to any other subscriber. The list archives of Easy Apple Pie mailing lists are not public, and your address may never have any problems when contacting Easy Apple Pie. E-Mails are usually not deleted or modified, but are always kept as safe as possible.

Information email addresses

Some email addresses may be trusted by Easy Apple Pie.
Mail to Glenda is private, Your addresses will be kept private.

IRC

IRC channels are not officially part of Easy Apple Pie web site. By participating in an IRC channel, your IP address may be exposed to others using the IRC. Different IRC channels have different policies on whether logs may be published.

User data

Data on users, such as the times at which they visited and the number of stories submitted will not be made publicly available.

Removal of user accounts

Deletion of content

Removing text from Easy Apple Pie does not permanently delete your submitted information. In normal information, anyone can look at your submitted information online forever. If your information is "deleted&quot, any visitor to Easy Apple Pie even the "administrator" may be able to see all the copies you have submitted. Information can be permanently deleted by those people with access to my servers, but there is no guarantee this will happen except in response to legal mum boe jumm bo action.

The Learning Network is a free service for parents, and students, and does some times require registration. The Student Connections section is specifically directed at students, grades 5 to 12. Within this section, the Ask a Reporter page and the Student Letters page allow students to either send a question to this web site or submit a letter to Glenda, providing their first name, grade, state/country and, optionally, their e-mail address. The information requested on these pages is used solely for participation in these activities, and is not shared or sold to any third parties. If an e-mail address is provided, it will only be used for a one-time response back to the child. After responding to the child, the e-mail address will be deleted. Access to the above services is not conditioned on more information than is reasonably necessary to provide our services. Because we’re concerned about a parent’s right to consent to the collection and use of their child’s personal information, when a question or letter is published, only the student's first name will appear on the site. To request removal of this information (non-personally identifiable) or to review or remove the optional e-mail address (personal information collected), please use this form to contact the Learning Network.
